Copy coaching is a 2 week partnership during which time we collaborate to write your Home and About pages.

  • A comprehensive intake form. This is where you tell me as much about you and your business as possible.

  • A draft of a Home and About page, written by me, based on what I learned via your intake form.

  • Unlimited Voxer access for  so we can communicate while your drafts are being written and edited.

  • Google Doc collaboration where your drafts will be saved.

FAQ’s

How does it work?

Our partnership lasts 2 week and begins when I receive your completed intake form. I will return your initial drafts within ~5 business days. During that time I may reach out to you via Voxer or comment on our shared Google doc to clarify details about what you wrote on your intake form. We will have the rest of the two weeks to go back and forth on edits that you'd like to make. 

Are there any live 1:1 calls?

No. This is a project-based partnership designed to help you make progress on your copy without disrupting your schedule. All communication will be done via what you provide on the intake form, Voxer (a voice messaging app) and Google Doc collaboration. 

What can I expect from your drafts?

You will receive concise drafts of your Home and About pages, because one of the biggest errors new entrepreneurs make is writing way.too.much. My job is to pull out what stands out as the most important info about you and your business that your prospective customers would want to know. The copy I write will borrow language directly from your intake form so it sounds like YOU (not me!). The copy itself will be polished and clear. Where you take it from there will be your choice!

Do you do copyediting for any other types of copy?

It depends, but you should definitely ask me! Drop me a line and let me know what's on your mind. 

How will this help me learn to write better copy?

Because when you’re thick in the dread of writing copy, you can’t see clearly the value that you offer, let alone communicate it in a clear and compelling manner. As a result, most new or evolving entrepreneurs try to say way too much and their messaging ends up sounding uncertain and unfocused. Through collaborative copy coaching, you’ll learn to identify the most important parts of your message and validate your mission. Without this, writing is hard. With it, it’s much, much easier.

Do I have to use the copy we write on my website?

Of course not. It's your copy! The copy I deliver and that we work on together is designed to be a powerful starting point for the rest of the copy you write. You are welcome to use whatever parts of it speak to you and change whatever you need.

What makes you qualified to write copy?

In addition to writing copy for my own coaching business over the past several years, I have written countless pieces of copy (including websites, sales pages, emails, training documents, product descriptions, you name it, I’ve written it…) in my former 12-year corporate marketing career.
